The area around Gangxia North functions as a dynamic hub where diverse urban activities intersect and people from varied backgrounds converge. Observations of the sunken plaza at Gangxia North Metro Station reveal a predominance of hurried young individuals, moving either along the north-south axis or eastward via the Shenzhen Eye. Here, movement is the defining and perpetual theme. Public art in this context aims to foster meaningful connections and reflections within the flow of daily urban life. In this "Realm of Walkers," we seek to create adaptive installations that evolve with the movements of their audience, crafting an artistic space that belongs to the walkers.

Harnessing the moiré effect, the installation’s visuals shift with the observer’s position, generating illusions visible only to the "walkers." Its rate of transformation reflects the varied tempos of urban life, turning the installation into an interactive mirror of the city’s rhythm.


岗厦北周边地区城市功能多样而复合,是各类人群穿行汇集的场所。在岗厦北地铁站下沉广场驻留,我们发现这里的客群画像是行色匆匆的年轻人,他们或南北向穿行而过,或向东经由深圳之眼去往深圳的各个角落。行,是这里永恒不变的主题。公共艺术旨在为公众的日常生活创造艺术性的联动与思考,因而在这个“行者之境”,我们希望为行者,创造他们能够发觉、体验、沉迷的公共艺术,即基于行者之行为而不断更新变幻的公共艺术装置,塑造属于行者的艺术场所。

在摩尔纹效应的影响下,艺术装置的视觉效果会随着观察者的位置而变幻,形成一个只有“行者”才能“看见”的幻境。同时,装置的变幻速率也映射出“行者”的不同城市生活速率,使装置本身成为反映都市生活节奏的一面交互之镜。
